Christmas in Florida...

Well it is hard to believe that Christmas has already come and gone. It was a busy December with Bryan finishing up another semester of school, work, a last-minute trip to Denver to see my brother and trying to make it feel like Christmas in upper-70-degree weather. We did, however, manage to have plenty of good times!

BABY ITS COLD INSIDE!

This is us at Ice in Orlando. The Gaylord Palms resort hires sculptures from China to come and create a winter wonderland of ice sculptures. It was pretty neat to see, and very cold (they keep the temperature at 9 degrees and hand out ponchos at the door).

We went with my sister, Shay, her husband Ryan and their kids Saveyah and Shep. This pic was taken at the very end and the kids had had enough of the cold -- actually they went down a slide made of ice right before this and were freezing as a result.

MAKING GINGERBREAD HOUSES

Later in the month we decorated cookies and made gingerbread houses with Bryan's brother Rob's family. The girls had the best system: saving their milk cartons from school to stabilize the inside of their houses.

Bryan's house was the tallest.

Mine fell about two seconds after this photo was taken.

C H R I S T M A S !

We spent the weekend before Christmas at my sister's house in Orlando. My Dad came for a visit from Idaho. He and my Uncle Rick got to see each other for the first time in about 18 years.

Dad gave the kids a miniture grand piano. It was a hit!

This is Bryan on Christmas day. He got his Christmas wish: a Playstation 3 and a couple of games. We had a great Christmas morning -- just the two of us. Then my Dad came over for another visit and to see our home. Then, we went to Bryan's brother's house to check out the loot his kids made out with. Our sister-in-law got Dance, Dance Revolution for their Playstation and it was WAY fun!!! (I think I want it to use as my workout to lose my baby weight! :)

Sounds like such a fun Christmas! Way to go on the gingerbread houses! That ice land seems like such an awesome place, I'd love to see it. I still haven't played dance dance revolution, but I hear it is so fun. We played guitar hero and loved it.
OH man, you are so close to your due date, I can't wait. I hope you guys have a great New Years!
