Eleanore broke out in hives on New Year's Day. It was really strange she didn't eat anything new that we can think of, no new detergent, no new clothes but she got spots that look like these all over her body.

They didn't seem to irritate her too much and they're finally starting to go away, but I sure would like to know what caused it. Any ideas?

I want to know what the E.R. brother n' law thinks!!! YIKES!! That would freak me out too. My kids have had rashes, but none of them have had anything that looks that prominent thus far. Did she seem sick too?
My goodness. I'm getting itchy just looking at the pix. Did she get into any grass or weeds outside? Did anything bite her? It could really be any number of things. Hope she doesn't grow up with allergies. They can be a pain. Glad they're going away.
Geeze- that is freaky. I'm glad they are going away! They do look itchy or dry or something. Poor thing. Well- maybe it's for the best if you don't find out what it's from (just cuz' finding out might mean it happening again!)
Did she have a high fever?
Gabe had something kind of similar, but his spots were bubbly like...it almost looked like he had a mosquito bite. The weird thing was that they would disappear and appear on a different spot, and sometimes really big. They didn't itch, but they would come and go for about three days. I noticed that he was getting these bubble like spots after his shots and he was running a fever.
I asked the nurse and she said that they were hives. They didn't look like El's if that is what hives look like.
Well at least they are going away and not sticking around. That is when I'd worry.
I was going to ask the same thing about the fever. Thomas gets that after a fever sometimes. I Think they call is rosieolis or something. Can't spell. Nothing to be alarmed about goes away in a few days. Hopefully it isn't anything more serious. Miss you guys, I need to call you it's been awhile.
I don't have any either. That is good she is getting better. The only thing I know about rashes is that kids get them a lot after a fever.
Wow, no clue here. I hate when strange things happen to our kids. Freaks me out. Glad they're going away.
