Eleanore is officially walking (actually she has been walking for over a month now, but I am WAY behind on blogging). After a couple of months of walking along furniture and even taking two or three steps here and there she finally got brave and that was all it took. As soon as she really tried she went at it like an old pro.
It is amazing to me how much happier this makes her. She follows me around and can get she wants so much more easily and quickly. It really is great, but I am sad to say this has changed her. She has become a "toddler" now in all ways. It seems like just yesterday she couldn't even hold her own head up and now she is busy as a bee.
I am constantly amazed at how quickly babies learn and develop. The first couple years of life are truly miraculous. Bryan always jokes about how lucky Eleanore is get to take two naps every day, but I always tell him it is no wonder she needs them. Look at how much she is learning and taking in. That would be exhausting.
Now that she has got the moving down to a science she has become a shaker. Eleanore loves to dance! I'm not just talking about a little head bopping. I am talking about all out hip-hopping, grooving. She get her shoulders and hips in on the action, and she doesn't even need music. She dances as she walks around the house, when she is the bath, when she is eating...pretty much all the time. It makes me happy to see that she is such a happy little girl.
***NOTE: I REALLY wanted to post video of Eleanore walking and dancing but I can't get my video to upload to the computer. I think I need either a new camera or a new computer or both, but it won't work. I am very frustrated. That is really why I haven't posted for so long, because I spent like two hours trying to get the video on and got annoyed and thought about all the other things I could be doing. But I've decided I better at least get these thoughts written down for journal's sake -- the video wouldn't be saved in that form anyway. Okay, enough with the disclaimer, but I wish you could see her dance. It is so cute.

It is amazing what they do in just a year! I hope you are able to get that video going one day, I would love to see her in action! She's adorable.
Oh man I am bummed the video didn't work. My sis in-law can't load her videos to blogger.com either so she made a youtube account and loads them on there, then links her blog to the youtube video. Anyways, I am glad she is walking and is such a happy fun little girl. We are planning a Smithfield reunion at the end of July at Nolans parent vacation house on Snake River. Boating, games, and fun will be involved...you in??
Awe, too bad the video didn't work!
It made me giggle to know that she's a natural dancer at such a young age! It's hilarious to think that she gets into it, hips and all!
