All day long, just takin' it easy -- layin' in the hammock where its nice and breezy

For our sixth anniversary (which is today -- happy anniversary, Bry -- I love you!) we decided to unplug and get away....it was wonderful! We went back and forth on whether or not to go (whether to spend the money, whether it would be okay with Eleanore, whether we had the time, etc, etc) and at the last minute just decided to do it, and I am so happy we did.

We left for Key Largo around noon on Thursday and stayed until Saturday afternoon. It was about a four hour drive from our house (Eleanore was a great traveler...sat and looked at her books and rested). Once we got to the resort we totally relaxed...it was the best.

This was the view from our hotel room:

We saw some wonderful sunsets.

This the hotel we stayed in with the private beach below.

Bummed around on the beach.

Played in the pool.
Laid in the hammock.

And went on a two-hour glass bottom boat tour to Molasses Reef in the Atlantic Ocean where we saw tons of fish, sting rays and even a shark.

The birds would come close enough to the boat that you could feed them Cheetos (too bad Eleanore got a little jealous...that is when the boat ride when downhill...she wanted to eat the Cheetos, which was a disaster).

It was a much needed vacation and a wonderful way to celebrate six years of marriage to my best friend. I can't think of two people I'd rather enjoy the beautiful views with that Bryan and Eleanore. I love my family!

And for the Toy Family, there has been some debate about where the next family reunion should be. I purpose the Florida Keys. Check out this causeway...there are vacation rentals that have diving boards you can jump right into the Atlantic from. We can call take turns watching kiddos so everyone can parasail/snorkel/dive/fish/etc. Yeah...sounds a little more exciting than Shelley, ID???? YES!
