Silly Girl

It is amazing to me how quickly a personality shines through. Eleanore definitely has one. She is very determined and knows what she wants, and she is also very SiLLy. She likes to get a reaction and once you laugh at her, get ready...she'll be on a roll. I am sure those who know her dear old daddy best can confirm that this must be an inherited trait.

One of the funny thing she loves to do is wear Dad's black socks. Every time we do laundry, or anytime she sees them out, she'll grab a pair, plop down on the floor and hold them up saying "ock!" And she wears them as long as I will let her -- all day if we aren't going anywhere. Another thing has become a bit of habit, when Dad gets home from work she wants to wear his tie. (Excuse the scanty outfit in the photo below...she had just eaten and destroyed her clothes).

She also likes to "help" with the laundry by trying on the clothes and sitting in the basket -- hoping to get a ride.

She's little miss "chill-lax." When go for a ride in the stroller or sit at the table she likes to put her feet up. Always strikes me as funny looking...

She likes to wear sunglasses and hats. Really, she'll leave them on for a long time.

Even if the "hat" isn't meant to be a hat. She's been doing this a lot lately (putting random things on her head for a hat). Yesterday it was a book in the car, then she looked at her self in the little mirror I have attached to the seat in front of her laughed hysterically.

I've mentioned before that she helps herself to the pantry. She'll take a whole bag of cereal and wander around eating it.

(Looking for the neighbors puppies in back.)

She is a ham! And I love it...she makes me laugh every day -- just like her daddy.

Sometimes her silliness is just plain mischief. Last night she came to young women's with me. We were paiting Terra Cotta flower pots for the mothers in the ward for Mother's Day and she was very interested. I gave her two dry paint brushes to play with and thought it would keep her busy...the rest of the brushes and the paint her up pretty high. She kept saying "Mama" but I didn't really respond...I was chatting with one of the girls. When I finally did look down she was happy as can be, totally painting her legs white. (Wish I'd brought my camera.) She was quite proud of herself, "Tadah!" she said. All I could do was laugh...what a silly girl.

What sweet stories. It's fun to remember these things because they are so busy discovering at this age. I totally thought of Bryan when you were saying how she gets people laughing and keeps on going.

These are great "action" shots to remind you what life was like at this age....and we do forget easily & quickly! She really is a character, I love that she knows she's being funny a lot of the time, just to get a laugh out of you. Uh oh, looks like she's taking after daddy!!
