Robbie

Eleanore loves her Uncle Rob (Bryan's brother). It wasn't long ago that she only loved him from a distance, but a few weeks ago he offered to take her swimming and that put him at the top of her list of people to be friends with. Every day she goes through the names of the people she knows and loves, saying "Rob" and I repeat "Rob" and she says "Bye-bye" as she waves with a concerned look on her face. (She does this with every name she knows. We go through the list every day: Rob, Jo-Jo (Jordan), Jakey, Au-hee (Audrey), Shep, Eyah (Saveyah), Dee-da (Daddy, at work), Nana, Ampa (Grandpa), etc.)

Well, last week we got her a new dolly. When I handed it to her I asked her what we should call her baby and she said with out hesitation "Robbie!" Bryan and I laughed and laughed. Where did she get Robbie? We've never called Rob Robbie, and it is funny that she corrlelated her baby doll with her uncle. She loves you Uncle Rob, you should be honored. :)

The name has stuck. She takes good care of her baby Robbie. It came with a bottle so she feeds her and she pushes around in the "sho-sho" (stroller) saying "vroom-vroom." First thing she says when she wakes up in the morning for from a nap is "Robbie." It is sweet to watch, she is a good little "mommy."

Oh yes, Robbie is a great name for a doll! I am excited to see Grace get older enough to want to mother a doll. Thomas doesn't really care about the real thing, so I don't think a doll would be much different:-)

She is such a smartie! Hearing you say she's a good little mommy reminds me of grandma... that was her phrase, I think. Very cute! Fun!

It's great to see updates on your family. You are a cute mommy! We will have 4 kids in October. The oldest is 5 (6 in July) so they are all close. It's a lot of fun and keeps me really busy!
Your little Eleanore (am I spelling that right?) is so cute!
