Happy Birthday to my favorite guy

Yesterday we celebrated Bryan's 28th birthday and I just want to take a minute to say how much I love him. He is the best friend I could ask for. Why? Simply put: he gets me (most of the time...and when he doesn't, he usually figures it out pretty quick).

Bryan is a genuine, loving and kind person. I am so grateful for all he does for our family, all he does to support and love me and all he does to make our little girl feel special. Eleanore is 100% in love with her "Super Daddy" -- seriously this guy is the top dog in her book. The other day he fixed the car. Later that night she said, "Daddy...fix...car. WOW!!!" Every evening when she hears the garage door open when he gets home from work she literally drops whatever she is doing and squeals "Daddy Home!" before running to the door to wait for a hug.

With two more girls on the way, I've been thinking: Bryan is the perfect father for daughters. He is patient, complimentary, tenderhearted and VERY protective. He is the kind of guy that will cry with you, but always make you smile -- I don't believe that there has been a day since we started dating that he hasn't made me smile. We are lucky gals to have him in our life.

So Bry, I hope you had a great day and could feel our love. You are the best, truly the best!

The celebration began last Friday when Rob and his family came over for fondue. It was super fun (I've got a post coming about that). Thanks for coming over guys. We love you!

Eleanore and I made Bryan's favorite b-day dinner: tiny spicy chicken and cheesecake. This is Eleanore sneaking a taste. After she licked the spoon she looked at me and said, "Luf it!"

Happy belated birthday, Bryan!! Before Sicily was born I actually remembered your birthday was coming up & was going to be so prepared to send you a card or make sure we called to sing to you. Then everything went a little haywire around here. So, I'm so sorry you missed hearing our beautiful choir voices. You certainly must've felt like something was missing on your birthday! We will sing to you anyway the next time we see you since we were practicing our harmonizing parts all month.

Looks like you had a fun family day. Glad you're our brother/uncle! We love you!! --The Smiths

Oh whoops- I read this a long time ago & thought that I had commented & then I checked to be sure today. Happy belated b-day Bryan! I really was thinking of you on your day... it was on my calendar :). Em, your plans sounded awesome- I want to try the fondue, too-you'll have to let me know how it went. I will call you soon. Sorry it's been awhile- It all of the sudden turned into fall here- everything is darker earlier- and I'm trying to reverse my kids schedules (back to 7:30 bedtimes- yahoo!) I'm sure it will be easier to catch each other soon!

MMM love that tiny spicy chicken recipe. I've made it once, and when Bryan said you were making it I really really wanted to come over for dinner!
