A few friends from church came, along with my sister-in-law Catherine, a couple of neighbors and a few other friends came (and there were several little (but "big") girls there that Eleanore had fun following around and playing with). Everyone was so kind and generous. I am really grateful for so many nice people and friends.

While we're on that note, I feel like we're rounding the final bend in this twin pregnancy adventure. I had an ultrasound this week and each baby is weighing in about 4 lbs each (plus or minus 20% for margin of error), which puts them on track to be between 6 and 7 lbs each if we can get to the 37 week mark like we're shooting for. The doctor has told me to try and rest as much as possible (like 12 hours a day including sleep at night), which I am trying to do, but it is a little hard to be committed to since I really feel pretty good and there are no signs that the babies are trying to come right away. I suppose they just want to be very cautious to make sure they don't come too soon.
To support their caution, beginning Monday I will go to the hospital twice a week for non stress tests. On top of that I have to go the OB once a week and to the maternal-fetal specialist every other week -- so basically we'll be living at the doctor's office for the few weeks. Which sounds exhausting, but I know I'd rather be doing that and keep the babies inside until they are ready than be sitting with the babies in the NICU. So I'm praying that if we do what we're told then these little buns will just keep cooking for at least four weeks more, and that all this running around won't be too hard on Eleanore, or me. ;)

looks like it was a lot of fun. You look so good too. A lady at the hospital just had twin baby girls and they're in the nursery today... super cute, made me think of you guys. I hope you're doing well.
Love, Miri
Wow she really did do an amazing job. How special. I love the little clothesline! You look awesome for having twins... I am bigger with one baby at an earlier phase (not kidding)! You really do look beautiful. You guys will be crazy busy... but I have to agree, better to be busy with this now- than busy taking care of sick babies later. You are such a good mommy to realize that and really put your babies first. I'm sure El will just have fun going on all the "outings" with you. Maybe you'll have to throw in a few treat days along the way to make it exciting :). One thing good that may come of it... all the appts. wil surely help her anticipate the new arrivals! Take care, we miss you!
What a fun shower. Good luck with the home stretch you are wonder women. I'm with you, anything you have to do is worth it, if it means keeping them safe and inside as long as possible. Good Luck.
ps - you look great, I'm way jealous of your jaw. because when I get pregnant that's one of the first things to go :)
How fun! You look so good! Keeping you in our prayers.
Wow - the decorations at your baby shower looked amazing - so girlie! Glad that you're surrounded by great friends and family!
You look fabulous!
Good luck with your appointments. Keep us updated on your girls and El too. WE love you and will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
AWWW!! How cute!! You look great, and I'm glad the shower went well. AND YES!! That's awesome how healthy the little girls are growing!
You look very cute still no matter how big you feel your belly is. I remember those last few weeks were miserable for me, so I can't imagine having 2 babies and feeling great still. I went for stress tests twice a week too and it was fun to get to see the baby on ultrasound twice a week. I enjoyed watching and listening to him move towards the end. They would always do close ups on finger and toes which made me smile every time. I hope these last few weeks go fast for your sake, but savor the time and enjoy the sleep while you can get it. I hope all goes well! I will keep you in my prayers.
