This post is made by Bryan--while Emily takes care of the babies...sorry-I am no blogger by any means--BUT even though this blog may not look perfect or line up good the best part about it is the content. I also just want to add one note. I am so proud of Emily. She is such a great Mom! She is more than my better half, I love her with all my heart and I hope she knows and feels the love I have for her. I am so blessed to have her and my new babies and of course my sweetheart Eleanore in my family. Truely I am a lucky man! Thank you Emily for giving me two more beautiful girls. You make some pretty babies :)
We are happy to announce the birth of our beautiful twin daughers:
Ivy Annette Buckley 4 lbs 14 oz 18" long 1/14/10 at 7:42am
Maya Elizabeth Buckley 6 lbs 9 oz 19.5" long 1/14/10 at 7:44am
We woke up at 4:30 am yesterday (January 14, 2010) and went to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. We had an ultrasound around 6:30am and Dr. Fanazzno said that "baby A" Ivy, was head down at the birth canal and ready to go, but "baby B" Maya was breech with her tummy facing Ivy--which he said was a high risk for cord prolapse if we did vaginal delivery. He said the risks were much higher with a vanginal delivery with this situation. We decided to go ahead with a C-section which followed promtly after.
Bryan was told to wait in the waiting room until they had me prepped and ready to go on the operating table. I was given a spinal tap before Bryan was brought back in and the babies where delivered.
Ivy came first, and cried and did well from the start. Maya was next and since her butt came out first she ended up swalling quite a bit of fluid which has landed her in the NICU. Although it is sad to see her laying in the NICU bassinet alone, it is good to know she will be okay within a matter of days.
Emily is recovering well and we will probably go home on Sunday depending on how Maya does.
More news and photos to come.

Emily- you are amazing and are truly a wonderful example of love and endurance when it comes to motherhood! I wish you the best and I pray for a speedy recovery! Let the sleep deprivation begin! I will think of you when I am up all through the night, and know that you are better and stronger for having to get up twice as much! (for cuter reasons though)
