Ivy's first tooth

Tonight while sitting at the dinner table Ivy was fussing so I took her out of her chair and was holding her. She began to gnaw on my knuckle (as she always does lately) and I felt something sharp. AHHH!! Ivy  has a tooth, bottom right. Can't believe it. It is the first sign of becoming a toddler...not an infant. Makes me sad, although it is pretty cute.

When I noticed we started chanting "Ivy has a tooth!" and all had to check the little bugger out. Ivy was all smiles at our cheers and it appeared that Maya understood too, because she broke into tears. Maybe she was offended by our cheers for Ivy. Don't worry, Maya, we'll cheer for your first tooth too. I'm sure it isn't far off. :)

That's crazy! Luke is 9 months old and still NO TEETH!

WOW already!?! How cute - wish I could have seen her smiling while you guys chanted! I can just picture it, haha! Hope nursing isn't getting uncomfortable now that she's a tooth. :)

Cute story. Wonder if Ivy will proceed Maya in all the little milestones, even if it's only by 2 minutes. Maya's going to have to start getting competitive or her big sis may steal all the thunder! (Ivy is the older, right?)

SO CUTE!! That is a fun milestone... esp. if you are past the fussiness! But I agree... milestones always bring bitter-sweet emotions for the mama. I don't seem to "push" the milestones as much with Macy as I did with Sydney- I'm probably learning that I really do enjoy those little moments & the milestones will come either way. Go Ivy! Can't wait to hear about Maya!
