Bryan and I took Eleanore to the ballet for the first time to see The Nutcracker on December 11 at the Sarasota Opera House. I have fond memories of going to theater/ballet/symphonies with my Dad, and have a special place in my heart for these kinds of outings. He taught us to enjoy the arts and I would like to pass that same interest on to my own children.
Eleanore loved the ballet and sat through it very well until about the last 5 or 10 minutes, when she started to get just a little restless (it was a 90-minute performance). I'd say pretty good for a two year old.
This was a special day out (the babies stayed home with our trusted friend Casey) and I think it will become a holiday tradition for me and the girls.

So glad you got to do this! We didn't make it to this one this year... but thanks to Shay sending the Nutcracker storybook for Christmas- it is already on the "to do" list for next year. Syd noticed EVERY single advertisement for EVERY single Nutcracker production during the season... but it just wasn't in the stars for us this year. What a fun girly tradition! That's a cute pic of you and El!
That is really cute Em! Such a good tradition I think. And you look so beautiful in that picture. Love your shoes!
