Remember when...

Here's how to play......

1. Leave a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you have of the two of us. It doesn't matter if you only know me a little or if you know me a lot, just write anything you remember.

2. Next, post this same post on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

My favorite memory is our trip to Denver together. Going on vacation with someone enables you to know them a little better. I really enjoyed that trip and would love to do it again. We have created a ton of new memories here with you that I know I will treasure and enjoy looking back on in the years to come. Some memories to remember: Our scheming against the boys to play a joke on them wich did not work at all, Love the chocolate on the teeth when we play board games, Building gingerbread houses, having barbeques, dinner on the boat cruise, shopping, fishing, swimming, and definetly the diapers in your tent and car. Also remember how over the years each of my children have had "accidents" that just so happened to be when you were holding them? Embarrassing at the time...kind of funny now. I am waiting for Eleanore to pay me back.

I don't know where to start. Almost all of my best memories are playing games together, while we use our middle names. Especially when Bryan would bust out his version of "My Humps" by the black eyed peas. I still also love the story of Bryan singing Spanish serenades while getting ready before church and Katie could hear him. And who could forget the trip to Jackson Hole where we found our camping spot in the dark, and some drunken tried to get Nolan and Bryan to drive with them to get some firewood, and then we all froze to death. Dinners together, and watching Survivor and movies was awesome too. When are we going to live close to each other again?!?!

Hmm, I feel bad that I don't have many memories of you. Here are the few that I do have though....
-I remember when Bryan first met you, and then you sent him a letter with your picture in it and I told him to dump his girlfriend and go out with you.
-Having you over for dinner
-Your wedding
-Going into each of your homes and being blown away by your decorating! (Will you come and decorate my house???)
Hopefully we'll be able to make more one day....

Mims has a dang good memory I'm deciding!!! That's so funny about the frozen yogurt!! I forgot about that and I'm like a zillion yrs. older than her & should remember better. Maybe she can clue me into more of my forgotten past.

I'll get my memories of Em tomorrow...I just had to chime in..but my brain is fried for now at midnight tonight. I have to choose?

oh ya... and our regular Fashion/Talent shows at the Cummings house--or anywhere we could get an audience...you made me sing 'I can show you the world' I felt like dying but you kept pepping me up telling everyone how good I was...ha!

So, I have many...but a few that I will always be grateful for: the time you came out to Las Vegas after the kidney transplant & stayed with me & Ryan for a week. You were just a high school kid...who wants to go to Vegas to take care of sick people in high school? Most kids want to go there to play! We couldn't do anything fun & you were so willing & ready to just be at our beck & call with no expectations at all. You were so mature for your age & so helpful to us. I remember totally pigging out on ice cream together as I laid in bed in the living room too!!

And then the memory of seeing you guys for the 1st time after we made our journey to FL from NC. After all we'd been through, I almost physically can recall the relief I felt to see your face & know we were in the home of family. You & I talked while you were still in UT many times & you didn't even know what to expect for your own life upon arriving in FL. Yet you kept suggesting you'd take us in if we wanted/needed a place to go. It was like the unconditional love of a parent coming from a little sister. And then while we were trying to figure out the next step in our lives...you guys helped us unload our Uhaul in million degree weather, move 1/2 our belongings (including a piano & a broken trailer) into your new home & invade you with children. All the time acting like it was no big deal. Halloween was on it's way & I was too stressed to worry about fun & the kids--you gave me ideas for costumes & encouraged me to go ahead & just be a mom for those few wks., even when I felt like I should be doing more to help out our situation. Your selfless concern for others is usually what I think of when I recall memories of you!!

Sorry--the funny ones just don't stick in my poor memory as well, unless you can count the day Eleanore's diaper exploded, avoiding her clothes, her mom, but made a perfect landing right on my carpet!! It was totally gross...but for some reason caused us to both burst into true belly laughter.

My turn (HEHEHEHEHEHE)
Where do I start with Bryan.
- I pushed you down a small hill to knock out your front teeth.
- Poor boy pants, Kim and I were convinced you were going to grow up and own a garbage dumb. (you collected the junk everyone threw away)
- Two words "Vanilla Ice" oh the memories.
- Climbing the mountain in Smithfield canyon. The tears of fear that followed.
-Collecting basketball cards (dont tell mom)
- Riding bikes in the snow, and mud. Both stories ended with Bryan either hurt or his bike broken.
- Teaching Bryan how to play basketball. I still own home court.
- The summer of our water park tour through Utah. The joy, fear, blood, and oh and best of all getting pulled over and begging the cop not to give me a ticket.
---- Then Bryan met Emily ----
- The constant display of PDA (gross)
- The question, "where is Bryan and Emily".....
- Soon learning you do not play games with Emily that require a mastery of the englrish language.
- Moving them all over the valley. Emily was always working......
- Learning where Mendon was in Cache Valley. (Those kids had to have their own space)
- Teaching Emily patience by annoying her to death. (taught Bryan bad habbits)
- Oh the games, games, and more games.
- Laughing, laughing, and more laughing.
---- Its been very fun sharing our life with those two kids... sniff, sniff. :)

Ok, so I've read this a few times & have been putting it off... how do you narrow it? Let's see... the biggie... how about setting me up w/my husband? K- then there's sharing a bed together for how long??? And then a bedroom, & with Kim too... eating tons of junk on Christmas Eve in our room, decorating it with paper drawings hung with sewing pins. Going on a date w/your high school teacher... what??? Crazy I ever did that- and I saw him w/his family at Leo's place the other day- he ignored us- it was funny. K I'll probably write more- but right now syd is obsssssssssssssssssssssessed w/pushing s for sydney on the keyboard... as you can see.

Alright Bryan here are my memories.
-You almost breaking your neck on the trampoline, & almost making me miss my date.
-You getting plowed by a tractor
-Cutting your chin while swimming at SV with the Peterson family.
-your "fast ride" and crash down the hill in Smithfield and some stranger finding you...
hmmm there is a reocurring theme here.... you were so accident prone.
-Going shopping in Park City just the 2 of us and almost ending up in Cheyenne instead
-Driving you everywhere
-Oh and when you went up to that guy in the mall and told him I thought he was cute and he said "tell her ditto" and then that was all you could say for weeks..... 'tell her ditto, tttell her ditto'
-double dating with you
-you were always accepting of me and a good listener when I needed a shoulder to cry on.
Love ya!

~The first memory of you without even knowing you personally was with your two brothers Tim and Josh in Dec of 2002. I had run into them at the mall and they were shopping for your birthday. I remember that we were in Bath and Body Works...they were picking out gifts and they were telling me that they couldn't get just any gift...you were a very special sister and they were trying to find the perfect gift...and to go along with the gift from Bath and Body was an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
~This time around I met you at your apartment and you told me that you were happy that Tim was dating me...I thought that was nice since you and Tim were pretty close...and I was sure that your opinion about me mattered to him.
~I loved coming with Tim to Logan to visit and stay for the weekend...I always liked seeing what life as a newly wed would be for you and Bryan...you two are a wonderful example of treating each other like sweet hearts!
~You were so willing to help me with the plans for our wedding...the music, decorating ideas, and most importantly you found the perfect wedding announcements for a great deal!!! I loved the colors and font on my announcements! Thanks for your kindness Em!
~You are a beautiful mother...you are just patient and loving towards Eleanore! I love talking with you about being a mother!
We love all three of you!
