This week we say good-bye to another sweet woman, Bryan's grandmother, Joycelyn Flint. Grandma Flint was a fun-loving lady who was a good listener, conversationalist and friend. She was easy to visit with and always made us feel comfortable in her home. We will definitely miss her, but are happy to know that she is back with her companion of more than 65 years who passed away in October.
Bryan left with his brother Rob on Friday to attend the funeral in Utah. I wish Eleanore and I could have gone along, but it was not the right timing for us to travel right now. Still, my heart and thoughts will be with Bryan and his family on Monday when they memorialize dear Grandma Flint.
It is sad to think that our grandparents have all moved on to the other side now -- they were part of "the greatest generation." Our grandparents were military people who had strong values that centered on family, country and hard work. They had the best stories, experiences and memories that I've ever heard. I look forward to seeing them again, in a time and place where we all be free of the mortal ailments that we experience on this side of the veil.

Wow, you guys have really been hit in the past 1-2 years. I am sorry you weren't able to go with Bryan. Give him our love.
So sorry another goodbye has to occur in your lives...this seems to be the year for it. One positive thing, it always is a good reminder of how precious every day is for those of us left behind. I hope Bryan's grandma & grandpa are happy together again...that's how it should be.
Man I can't believe that. So sorry for your loss.
