Eleanore graduated to her "big girl room" this week. It has been a long time coming since Bryan painted the walls purple not long after we moved into the house and we bought the bed just before the babies were born. We'v been
hesitant to move her out of her crib because she is a wild sleeper (and because she has never once tried to climb out of it, so it was hard to give away the control), but the time has come. I'm feeling like it is almost time to move the babies out of our room (I think they'll sleep better without me five inches away) so I wanted El to get used to her big girl room before we move the babies in to the nursery.
She loves her bed and her room (and most of all the lamp that she can turn off and on by herself). I love her room too. It has been fun to put it together, and it is still not quite finished (we need to hang curtains and I want to add some flowers to the closet curtain to add a little color).

My sister-in-law, Joanna, made us the purple quilt when El was born. I already had the nursery decorated then, but I loved it so much I've been waiting for Eleanore to graduate from her crib to put it on her bed.

We had a talented lady in our ward paint the
CandyLand mural and lollipops. My original thought was to have her paint it on the wall, but since we are surely not permanent here we decided to have her put it on a canvas so we can take it with us if we ever move.

My step-mom made this curtain for the closet when she was here to help with the babies. Funny thing, they didn't have curtains on the closet doors when we moved in. This is the one she made for the nursery...I think it is so cute!

All three girls are really happy in the "big girl room." Maybe it is all the color but they all three laid on the bed for at least an hour on Sunday, happy as could be!

What a cute room! Really I want you to come help me decorate my house one day. :) I love that last picture of all 3 girls in the bed with big smiles. Such a cute picture.
I'm seriously dying over El's room. Love it. Super cute girls all in the bed. Is Shay hacking into your account again? Anyway, I will talk to you more about it on the phone- my comments are short here. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE it all. Very creative, colorful and fun.
Wow, what a fun big girl room! Such vibrant colors and happy faces to enjoy it too!
Way to get it done Em! I find it hard to decide on a theme...I so need to get Gabe's room decorated, maybe then he'd love to sleep in it! ;)
Cute ideas for a sweet gal like Els!
That is awesome that Eleanore has graduated to her big girl room. I absolutely love that last picture with all three girls.
