Halloween wrap-up

As promised I have to post pics of Bryan dressed as the "not-so-scary" Big Bad Wolf (Eleanore made him promise not to be scary). El and I came up with the idea and he, like always, a good sport and went along with it. Everyone at the ward trunk-or-treat loved it!

I had intended to dress up as the Grandma, but the only Big Bad Wolf costume we could find was already dressed like the Granny, so I decided to be a ghost with the babies.

This year's trunk or treat was a lot of fun, since our ward recently added several new families from a dissolved neighboring ward. Our Primary basically doubled, which we are so thankful for. We've already made lots of great friends and are so happy to have a more "family-ish" ward. (Did I mention I am now serving in the Primary? It is lots of fun, and I am glad to be there since Elsy will be in next year!)

The trunk or treat was Friday night, there was  great potluck and lots of visiting. Then on Saturday we went trick or treating at Publix (grocery store) and had intended to go to our friend's Halloween bash, but Eleanore wasn't feeling well so we called it quits on Halloween. Sunday she actually stayed home sick from church and was just as content handing out candy as going out knocking doors herself. It was a fun holiday, but now we're ready to move on to our family's FAVORITE two months of the year November and December.

I'm feeling the pressure of getting  going on the fall/holiday season. This week my to-do list includes canning applesauce, apple slices and apple butter. Before Thanksgiving I also intend to do more strawberry jam (should've done more peach...it's almost gone too) and in December I want to do more salsa. I've also got Christmas projects piling up and have gotten myself involved with the Relief Society Super Saturday on November 20. On top of all that, I've picked up two more (I've been maintaining one) freelance contracts for marketing/writing. So, I'm super busy and a little stressed. But let's face its, anyone who knows me well, knows that is how I function best.

I love this time of year so, so much. The weather is even cooperating and I think Thursday is supposed to be cool (in the 60s). It will really make it feel like the right time of year to be making applesauce!

Bryan's a pretty fun dad to play along, I bet as small as Eleanore is she'll still remember. Or at least she'll have the pictures to remind her!

You are ambitious lately...so many projects. It must be really yummy for all that work!

ha ha ha. Love Bryans costume. Eleanore was telling me about it earlier but she never told me about the grandma part of it. So funny! I love it! He was a good sport to be the wolf in a grandma outfit.

You guys sure out did us this Halloween! Not that we are competing with you...I just lack motivation or creativity! I had to giggle at the pic of Els and Bryan - what a cool dad!
I hope you make some time just for you to sit and relax a bit. ;)
