These pictures are from a day we met a fun new P-A-R-K (I have to spell it if Eleanore is around or else she'll be rearing to go!) in Sarasota called Rothenbach Park. We've been their a few times and it really nice, but I think we'll have to wait until fall to go too much more because it is just too hot and the trees aren't big enough to provide any shade.

Park Fun
My sis-in-law Catherine and I have been trying to get out and play more often (she has a preschool age son, Jake). We've been going to parks and the pool (it's going to have to be more pool now that it is SOOO hot) a lot. It is so nice to have someone to go with. Catherine is really one of my best friends since living in Florida (read: one of my only friends). I am so glad we get along and enjoy being around each other. Without Rob, Catherine and their family, our time in Florida would be much harder and more lonely. Rob and Bryan are best friends too, so it has worked out wonderfully. Their kids (Audrey, Jordan and Jacob) are so sweet to Eleanore. Who could ask for more?

Jake was there...he just wouldn't get it in the pic. Oh well, we thought it was cute because all three girls matched in pink, coincidentally. :) Notice Eleanore's pile of wood chips. That is so characteristic of her. She is a collector/gatherer. Another example: she'll pick up so many toys in her arms that she can't even play anymore. It has been kind of interesting to watch...don't know why she does it, but she does.
Audrey and Eleanore...she loves the big girls!

FUN! I love that El collects stuff, maybe she'll be like dad in that way..haha! And those girls are cuties. I'm glad that you have a friend to hang with, its does suck not having anything to do (I know, my firends are numbered too :)
That is a really cool park. It's too bad that it is so hot there though. I feel like we're just starting to get into the heat too here, but it isn't too bad without the humidity that you have! Did you love survivor? I was a JT fan all along, he played so well. Overall an enjoyable season. I loved the ball drop competition.
Play days are great. An actual adult to talk too during the day. What could be better? :)
I love the pic with Eleanore in the swing. Very cute! Too bad the weather is so hot. That was a cool park.
I wonder if we would even notice how hot the weather is... we just love it not being cold or windy!! We spent ALL day out today in 90 degrees and no one cared... just love the change!!! These are super fun pics of El!! Parks are SO much more fun with friends!
