While on the topic of being preggers, here are a few little lessons I'm learning from being pregnant the second time around (with twins, which is proving to very different than being pregnant with one child when I was working full time).
- DO feel free to eat Edy's ice cream in excess (especially if you get it at Target for $.50 per a half gallon). A great excuse is that it relieves heartburn.
- Do NOT eat chocolate in excess. It will cause heartburn. As will Mexican food, tortilla chips, hot dogs, ice water, ranch dressing, oranges, fruit juice, Chinese food...and pretty much everything else.
- DO use a shopping cart while stocking up on baby supplies like car seats, strollers and diapers at Babies R' Us. In a store full of pregnant women you aren't likely to get an offer for assistance to your car.
- Do NOT try and haul the boxes around the store on your five-and-a-half month pregnant hip, while simultaneously carrying your 24-pound toddler on the other hip to prevent her from grabbing every colorful object off the shelf.
- DO run errands (including shopping for cute baby clothes and confidence-boosting maternity clothes) without your husband knowing.
- Do NOT let your husband know you are nesting. When he sees multiple charges (and returns) on the credit card bill he'll find out. Forgiveness is better than permission.
- DO sleep in (snuggled next your body pillow which supports your ever-growing belly) until your older child wakes up.
- Do NOT wake up at 4 a.m. to complete work assignments. It will just make your groggy and unproductive all day.
P.S. I can feel the babies move a lot now. I love that! Gives me a sense of connection and security that they're doing okay in there.

You look great!!! I enjoyed reading your Do's and Don't list, very true :).
So funny! YOu look awesome. Seriously I'd be so happy to look like that halfway with one baby! So exciting how far you've come. I have bad news about us coming in Dec. BUt a possibility of coming later in the year...spring. I know so lame. I will call you soon!
You are looking soooo cute! I love the Do and Don't list. Very funny.
YES! You look great, but seriously about how I and every other girl looks at about 8 months...SO YAY for TWO babies!! And I love the do's and don't list, but you forgot: let your one year old watch as much movies as she'd like and cry at every ending including elmo shows (and not just because they are over ;) Wish we were there enjoying this with you!!
Dang Em, you look HOT! Yes DO eat ice cream, and sleep sleep sleep as much as possible. I can't imagine having two babies bumping around inside me, crazy!
You didn't look this pregnant when I saw you!! Are you sticking your belly out further for the camera? It's cute whatever you're doing & I think those babies are gonna' be tiny 'cause you still are..gees, no fair.
I couldn't imagine 2 of them kicking either--sometimes I felt like one inside of me kicking was enough to make me go bonkers (even though I loved it at the same time).
So, now the true countdown is on! Hope the 2nd half goes as smooth as the first. Love ya!
All I can say is that you make a very BEAUTIFUL pregnant woman, especially with twins!
I definitely loved reading through your do and do not list and will have to keep a few in mind for future doing :)
despite the baby bump, you look super skinny :)
