Three months already!?! A Buckley update (and photo overload). --- copied from my family's blog

Where does time go? I feel like it was yesterday that my ankles were cankles and my skin was stretched to the max -- haha!! Hope you like the visual.

(Ivy and Maya at 6 weeks.)
ANYWAY, I can't believe that Maya and Ivy are already three months old. I have to admit I was kind of wishing for the first few months to pass fast because it is so hard to take care of two crying babies at once, but now that they are going by I am feeling sad that they are. I guess that is the story of life, always wishing for tomorrow and missing yesterday, right?

I am really enjoying the babies now. They are getting a little easier since they are more social and can be soothed a bit just by being talked to (while I am holding or feeding the other). They are both smiling a lot now and are starting to get a little chubby (Ivy was 9 lbs when we had her at the hospital last week...I am guessing Maya is about 11). They still sleep in the same bed and I think they really know each other.

Their personalities are starting to emerge. Ivy is the super sweet, cuddly type. When she cries it is so pitiful it makes your heart melt.

Maya is kind of funny. She makes silly faces and has a sweet countenance, but isn't very patient. She sucks in real deep and make a squeally sound to get my attention and when she cries she just sounds ticked.

LOL -- we'll see if these are really predictors of their personalities.

After our scare with Ivy last week (if you didn't hear she was admitted to the hospital last Monday for what they thought was meningitis but was really an ear infection) everyone is feeling better now, and Bryan was home this entire week (he has been traveling to St. Louis for work a lot lately -- he has been gone three out of the last four weeks and will be gone again next week). We miss him when he leaves, but he kind of gets in the way of routine when he is home (just kidding...kind of...we really just miss him).

(They let me keep Maya there too since I am nursing them both. Excuse the photo quality...all I had was my phone.)

Eleanore is doing awesome. She loves her sisters -- almost too much sometimes. And, she is a great helper most of the time.

(Easter dresses.)

She is getting to be a picky eater, but I've found that she'll eat almost anything if I put it in a lunchbox and let her eat it in a tent.

(When I took this picture I told her, "Say cheese." She shouted, "I love my Daddy!" It was funny.)

I've been taking her to a mommy/toddler gymnastics class and she LOVES it. It a great place for her to get out a lot of bottled up energy. Her favorite activity at home lately is swinging on the patio - she could sit in that thing for hours if we'd push her. Can't say it enough, I love this girl. She really is my best little pal these days, a great conversationalist with a funny sense of humor. Bryan and I laugh, she must of gotten some real "Eleanore Jolley genes" because she can talk and talk and talk without a break from sun-up to sun-down (and even sometimes in her sleep).

(Helping Mom plant flowers.)

I'm busy doing the mommy thing (and getting a strong back by hauling both babies in the Moby) and have given up on doing my hair (pic below proves it) or, it seems, mopping my floor. Wish I could find time to exercise...sometime soon, I hope.

Hope everyone is doing good! Love you guys.

What a trooper you are... all of that hard work on your own when Bryan is out of town. Seriously... only super Em could pull all this off. Love all the pics, as I said on the phone and the other blog. So happy to see their sweet personalities. Thanks for posting!

So good to hear from you! I loved the update and the cute cute pictures. I think maybe I'll try that picky eater trick with Jadyn. Eleanore is too funny, all your girls are getting so big!
As for not doing your hair and wanting to exercise... you look awesome and there is a time and season for all of that.

Oh it is so great to get an update from you guys, I am always checking for it, and I love all the pictures. It's great to learn about Ivy and Maya's personalities too. I can't believe how much Bryan is gone! I hope it will get less and this isn't the norm??? The matching Easter dresses were my favorite.

You are amazing, and you look awesome! I am sure your are burning tons of extra calories carrying 2 babies around all the time. I love that Elenore will eat anything out of a lunch box, my niece is the same way but with a plastic bag. If it goes in a baggie, then she is happy! I love all the pictures, and your babies are getting such chubby cheeks! SO CUTE!

Isn't it amazing the number of times a mom can say to her self "I wish". Love all the pics, and your girls will still think you are the greatest, showered or not, hair done or not, legs shaved or not. :) Good job mom, (and dad too)!

The babies are so cute! And Eleanore too! I don't have twins, but I feel like I can relate on so many levels. Wishing the days away and then missing what's gone, Dad's getting in the way of routine, so true!:) and wishing I could fit in some exercise! I'm always amazed when I read your blog. YOu are awesome. And I'm glad it was just an ear infection, what a scare!

Love the pictures and the update. Don't worry Ryan gets in the way with routine whenever he is home (including Saturdays!) But we are always grateful for family time all the same.
