Then when she was a couple of months old both her Nana and her Uncle Tim and Aunt Nancy gave her a story book called Eleanor, Ellatony, Ellencake and Me about a little girl named Eleanor whose family is always coming up with silly nic-names for her, until she finally decides on the "perfect name for her."
I think our Eleanore can relate. She is always getting a new nic-name whether it is El, Els, Buddy, Bubba, Ella, Ellie, Nory and so on it is always something new. My personal favorite is Elsy...just seems to fit her funny little personality. I guess we'll see what she thinks "the perfect name for her" is when she can talk well enough to let us know, but until then we'll just keep letting the names come. We love our little Elsy...life wouldn't be nearly as fun or happy without her.

I love that book! When we read we talked all about our niece/cousin Eleanore. I was going to send it to you, but I guess it's a good thing I didn't. :)
We just read that book at the library recently- it's a fun one! I like Elsy a lot- you should stick with that one... if you have to choose a fav! Of course, Eleanore is my favorite too--- I know where it came from-- and who'd ever want to replace that?(tho she did pick up El, I guess... and that's how she used to spell though... and she spelled night like this- nite. funny memories) Love your posts... keep em coming!
I LOVE Elsy!! That's cute!! And I'm sure milly know the feeling too, its a new name everyday depending on my mood! HAHA! Thats such a pretty pic of 'Elsy' in this post!
Aren't nicknames fun? They do seem to change as they grow...it will be fun to see what El will like to be called when she is a little older!
I have to say that I love Elsy too, that is one nickname I have never heard.

No matter what you call her she is just adorable. She is so smart, a great listner and has a great personality. She is sweet!
