Bry did a wonderful job blessing each of the girls with unique opportunities, health and happy, righteous futures. I am grateful for him honoring his priesthood and being able to bless our sweet little girls. We are so happy to have Ivy and Maya in our family. Already it seems like this is more than normal...just the way our family is supposed to be. We are so lucky to have them in our home.
One funny thing did happen though that I have to record for memory's sake. Getting to Church on time is ALWAYS difficult for me. Adding in two additional babies and company that day made it a real challenge for me get out the door on time. On the way to Church I told Bryan that I had nursed Maya, but didn't have time to feed Ivy yet. So we agreed that he'd bless Ivy first, just in case I ended up needing to feed her sooner than later. Well once Church started (Bryan was sitting on the stand with the Bishopric), Bryan's Dad was already holding Maya and Ivy was doing fine, so I just told him to go ahead and bring Maya up first. Bryan must not have even looked down before he started the prayer because he started to give Maya the name "Ivy Annette..." and I (from the cultural hall where I was sitting-- remember I was barely on time) had to shout "Wrong baby!" Everyone was laughing and it is a good thing Bryan doesn't get embarrassed easily. He went on with the blessings and did a great job. When I went up between blessings to trade babies with Bryan a member of the ward, who is the father of 10-year-old twins, whispered "Welcome to the world of twins..." Sorry girls. We know you are individuals...we're just getting the hang of it still. :)
The sweet little blessing dresses were made by Grandma Toy...thank you! I know you can't see them well in these photos. We got better photos taken at JC Penny, just haven't gotten them back yet.

That is too funny about saying the wrong name! I am sure it won't be the last time they get confused! Props to you for going to church. I stayed home for almost 3 months. It's too cold in Utah to take little babies out in November & December. Your family is beautiful!
Oh man, that is funny. Jared is always so nervous when he gives blessings, I bet that would have thrown him way off. Good job Bryan for keeping your cool.
I think just making it to church at all is a major accomplishment, good job. Your girls look so sweet.
What a great day. Rob told me the story of what happened, I have to say I got a pretty good laugh imagining it all happening. Such great pictures of you all, Emily you look beautiful!
Em, you look angelically beautiful, as always.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there for the blessings - thanks for sharing the funny and the sweet.
Hug El for me and tell her Aunt Mimi misses her!!
