Can it be? Nursery tears no more.

Last Sunday I thought about staying home from Chruch (wasn't sure if I wanted the babies around the crowd yet), but the young women (who I worked with for three years before being released when I was pregnant) were speaking in sacrament meeting so I decided I wanted to be there to hear them. After three crazy hours getting ready (Bryan was already gone since he had early meetings) I almost threw in the towel, but we made it out the door, and actually got there before the sacrament. I am glad I made it because Eleanore had a milestone experience while we were there.
She has never been to nursery alone. Every time I've tried to leave her there she has fallen apart, so I usually just stay and play.

Until last week. After sacrament meeting one of the primary leaders came and talked to us and asked Eleanore if she wanted to go to nursery. Eleanore looked at me and asked if I was going and I told I couldn't bring the babies in there. She looked back at Sister Oglvie and said "Okay," took her hand and off they went.

She stayed for both hours and had a wonderful time. I peaked in the window a couple of times and she was happy as could be.

This is just one of many signs that Eleanore is getting to be a "big girl." These babies, I think, have put that on the fast track. I am proud of her for sure, but a little sad that my baby is growing up.

Isn't it a bitter-sweet feeling? I'm happy El is getting the hang of being a big sister so quick, but I'm not too surprised, she is a very smart little thing! Her hair is SO long too, I was hocked when I first looked at the pic. She also looks a lot like you right now I think!

Very very sweet. I remember when you guys were late to church quite often without kids...haha. I love the story of you saying Wrong baby. Oh man I miss you guys. I am glad Elenore went into nursery though. SO SO NICE! We just put grace in last week and it was a sucsess!

That is a big milestone. I think it totally helps when the nursery leader comes and gets them. Lily never went by herself either until her leader just came and picked her up right after Sacrament meeting. Now she can't wait. It is nice!

Such a great moment! It's hard to know they don't really need you as much anymore, but it is soooo liberating and makes life easier. YAY Eleanore!!!
XOXO

Oh, what a big little girl! What a great milestone. And, coming from me, (which I'm sure you are already all over) don't forget the hand sanitizer for when she leaves each week!!

Oh that is awesome news! What a difference it makes when a nursery teacher comes over to help.
I have a feeling that we will be putting Gabe back into nursery. I am hoping that he'll have great nursery teachers that will help him.
Great timing now that you have your hands full.
miss you guys.
